Tony Consiglio
Tony ConsiglioTony Consiglio was born and raised in Queens, NY by two Sicilian immigrants who happen to be his mother and father. Tony spoke no English when he frst attended school and walked around with his name and address safety-pinned to the front of his shirt. Upon receiving his College diploma from the School of Visual Arts, Tony proceeded to forge his high school diploma under his younger brother Johnny's name so that he could help him get hired at the local utility company. Ironically, Johnny's yearly income is three times that of Tony's best year. Besides gorging himself at family functions, Tony is best known for his comics Double Cross, which semi-autobiographically details his life, as well as his graphic novel 110 Percent. He is currently working on a story that is taking way too long and that he someday hopes to finish. Tony begrudgingly resides/perspires in Phoenix with his wife Chris. It's a dry heat. Yeah, right.

Jon B. Cooke
Jon B. CookeJon B. Cooke, editor of the two-time Eisner Award-winning magaine Comic Book Artist was born a full-fledged comic book geek. He started collecting funnybooks in the early 1970s, inspired by the artistry of Jack Kirby and the King's Fourth World titles. For a time during those formative years, Cooke edited the fledgling fan effort, Omegazine, which reached a whopping circulation of 25 or so, a fanzine his three brothers contributed to. Cooke attended the University of Rhode Island in the early 1980s as a history/journalism major, where he developed a taste for print work as editor of the campus hippie/lefty magazine, the Great Swamp Gazette. In 1995, Cooke began contributing to The Jack Kirby Collector, published by TwoMorrows, and by 1998, he created Comic Book Artist, producing 25 issues for that company. During that time he also edited The Warren Companion, Streetwise, and two CBA collections, as well as designed numerous books on comics-related subjects, including The Amazing World of Carmine Infantino, Kimota! The Miracleman Companion, The Art of Nick Cardy, as well as issues of Alter Ego. Once, in the Dark Ages, Cooke was a graphic designer and art director for East Coast advertising agencies, but now he lives a dream job helming CBA, the magazine devoted to the love of comics old and new. He resides in Rhode Island with his wife, Beth, and three sons, Ben, Josh and Danny. With immense pride and enthusiasm, the editor moved CBA to Top Shelf Productions in 2003, where it has remained since.
