With our combination of sophisticated graphic novel storytelling and popular accessibility, Top Shelf books are a perfect fit for library collections -- and for three years straight, our presence at the American Library Association's Annual Conference has ramped up year after year. Now superstar creators Andy Runton (Owly) and James Kochalka (Johnny Boo, Dragon Puncher, American Elf) are joining Top Shelf marketing czar Leigh Walton for a full weekend in our nation's capital for ALA 2010, June 25-27.

Andy Runton's OWLY is a bona fide sensation among librarians (with his own official READ poster from ALA Graphics and everything!), and James Kochalka's JOHNNY BOO is rapidly joining him, with three titles in print and a fourth coming soon. Both authors will be meeting, greeting & signing all weekend long, starting with Diamond Book Distributors' Friday night Graphic Novel Social. James will tease his upcoming kids' adventure Dragon Puncher and Johnny Boo (vol. 4): The Mean Little Boy, and Andy will even share a sneak peek of his new full-color Owly & Wormy book coming from Simon & Schuster!

Top Shelf has two dedicated events scheduled at the conference's Graphic Novel Pavilion Stage this weekend. The first is a spotlight presentation on Andy Runton and James Kochalka, running Saturday morning at 9 AM. Later, Leigh Walton will present a guided tour of Top Shelf's new and upcoming releases, Monday at 11 AM.

ALA attendees, come find us at booth #2466 in the Graphic Novel zone!
