Max Karl Key is a person who draws things, and lives in a certain part of Portland, Oregon, land of shut-in cartoonists and also beer. When not putting pen to paper, he is a part-time music teacher, photographer, and gelato chef, among other things. By these efforts, he keeps almost a whole roof above his head and feeds roughly one cat. This city has suited him okay thus far, but perhaps one day a different city will take over with a smothering, motherly embrace. He is pretty much a city person, and has no designs to live in places that aren't "complicated".
