Dennis P. Eichhorn
Dennis P. Eichhorn is one of the autobio genre's best-known luminaries. Once nominated for three Eisner Awards for his work in Real Stuff comix, Eichhorn has also authored the Real Smut comix series, and self-published The Amazing Adventures of Ace International, Real Schmuck, and Northwest Cartoon Cookery in collaboration with Starhead Comix. A former senior editor of Seattle's now-defunct Rocket Magazine, Eichhorn distingished himself as the creator of one of America's most notable art tabloids, the Northwest EXTRA!, by editing and publishing 16 issues in the late 1980s. Real Stuff by Dennis P. Eichhorn and a Host of Artists, a 208-page collection of Eichhorn's stories rendered by many alternative cartoonists of great repute, was published by Swifty Morales Press in 2004. Today, Eichhorn lives in Bremerton, Washington, where he is a free-lance writer and editor. He is married (for the third time) and has one grown daughter and a grandson.
