Alan Moore Litho
Alan Moore Litho
View Alan Moore Litho Cover As Alan Moore fans are well aware, Mr. Moore is not usually one for the public spotlight. In fact, the most commonly seen photo of Alan is the same one originally used for the back cover of Watchmen -- taken almost 20 years ago! Last year, José Villarrubia conducted a long photo session with Alan Moore at his home in Northampton, and from that exquisite batch, Top Shelf presents the first ever, official portrait of Alan Moore. José, the master digital artist and photographer (for books like the Eisner-nominated Veils and Promethea), and Eisner-nominated colorist (Fantastic Four: 1234, Sentry, Hellshock and Cage), beautifully captures the essence of Alan in this striking image suitable for framing.

Angel Passage (music cd)
Angel Passage (music cd)
View Angel Passage (music cd) Cover Top Shelf Productions is proud to present Alan Moore's all-new performance CD from the Steven Severin's RE: label. Following on from the critical acclaim of last year's THE HIGHBURY WORKING, Alan Moore turns his psychogeographic eye to the life and works of William Blake. Originally performed at London's Purcell Rooms as part of this year's William Blake retrospective, ANGEL PASSAGE is a hallucinatory whirl through Blake's mystical world, told in the magickal words of Moore and set to the mesmeric musical moods of Tim Perkins. ANGEL PASSAGE is proof positive of Moore's position as a storyteller of enchanting proportions. Alan Moore collectors won't want to miss the opportunity to pick up this rare Alan Moore import.

The Birth Caul
The Birth Caul
View The Birth Caul Cover It started life as Alan Moore's reading/performance piece in 1995 at the county courthouse in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, where it was sound-taped and subsequently released as a (very hard to obtain) CD. Recognized as Alan?s writing at its very best, the work is by turns autobiographical and surreal. It takes us on an odyssey we can never undertake, a journey back into the womb and beyond, to the soul.

The Bojeffries Saga
The Bojeffries Saga
View The Bojeffries Saga Cover People have described The Bojeffries Saga as being about "urban decay" or "the demise of the nuclear family," as if getting a handle on this oblique entity would somehow make it fair game for intellectual scrutiny. But what the Bojeffries set out to do was simply poke fun at the British -- which is what the British do best.

This edition includes the evolutionary development of the principal characters, as well as an all-new story (as if the Bojeffries were living in modern times). Alan and Steve both agree that modern Britain is on a fast track to nowhere, yet Alan's affectionate and penetrating understanding of human nature creates a kind of desperate poignancy in the characters; and Steve's deft and articulate line work brilliantly echos this throughout the collection.

It's all there, untutored, unpolished, ramshackle and always on the edge of collapse. Very much like Britain itself.
